ABOUT ICON
The International Cardiomyopathy Network (ICoN) is a newly established association of medical, scientific, and lay stakeholders with the mission of improving the health of people affected by cardiomyopathy and related diseases. ICoN plans to undertake a rolling programme to transform the cardiomyopathy landscape in Europe through clinical education and patient engagement so that more people with cardiomyopathy can access the treatment and support that they need, when they need it.

Professor Perry Elliott

Perry Elliott is Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at University College London (UCL), director of the UCL Centre for Heart Muscle Disease and a consultant cardiologist at St. Bartholomew's Hospital London, UK. He is Chairman of the ESC Heart Academy, past Chairman of the ESC Working Group on Myocardial and Pericardial Diseases (2010–2012) and President of Cardiomyopathy UK.
Dr Aristides Anastasakis
Dr. Aristides Anastasakis, MD, PhD, is a consultant cardiologist specialized in Inherited and Rare Cardiovascular Diseases. He is the Scientific Director in the Unit of Inherited and Rare Cardiovascular Diseases, Onassis Cardiac Surgery Centre.
Professor Eloisa Arbustini
Professor Arbustini is Director of the Centre for Inherited Cardiovascular Diseases and of the Transplant Research Area of the IRCCS Foundation, University Hospital, Policlinico San Matteo in Pavia, Italy.
Professor Lucie Carrier
Lucie Carrier, PhD, is Professor of “Functional Genomics of Cardiomyopathies” and team leader in the Department of Experimental Pharmacology and Toxicology, Cardiovascular Research Center at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany.
Dr Juan R Gimeno
Dr. Juan R Gimeno is coordinator of the reference Inherited Cardiac Disease Unit at the Hospital Clinico Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca in Murcia from 2003 (CSUR and ERN accredited). He is associate professor of Internal Medicine- Cardiology at the Universidad de Murcia, Spain.
Dr Juan Kaski
Dr Kaski is Associate Professor of Paediatric Inherited Cardiology at the UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science and Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). He is the Director of the GOSH Centre for Inherited Cardiovascular Diseases.
Professor Aleš Linhart
Prof. Aleš Linhart, DSc, FESC is currently heading the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of the First Medical Faculty which hosts the major Center for Fabry disease and Pulmonary Hypertension in Czech Republic.
Professor Iacopo Olivotto
Prof. Iacopo Olivotto is Head of the Cardiomyopathy Unit and Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at Careggi University Hospital in Florence, Italy.
